The unauthorized copying, dissemination, storage, use, modification, uploading, and downloading of Jurists Bar Review Center’s video lectures and bar review materials is strictly prohibited and the perpetrators will be subjected to administrative, civil, and criminal action.

Jurists Bar Review Center takes the protection of its intellectual property seriously. Thus, for violation of its copyright, a final Decision for the conviction of the violation of Section 217.1 of the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (R.A. No. 8293) was issued on 17 June 2021 by Acting Presiding Judge Bonhoefer V. Bernardez of Branch 15 of the Regional Trial Court of Laoag City in Criminal Case No. 18642-15, the dispositive portion of which states as follows:

WHEREFORE, premises considered, the court finds accused JAKE BRYSON DANCEL y REYES GUILTY BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT of the crime charged and sentences him to suffer the indeterminate penalty of Imprisonment of one (1) year to three (3) years plus a fine of Fifty Thousand Pesos (P50,000), to pay private complainant Jurists Review Center, Inc. the amount of Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (P500,000) as civil damages, with subsidiary imprisonment in case of insolvency. The award of civil damages shall earn interest at the rate of six percent (6%) per annum from the date of finality of this Decision until fully paid. 

So ordered.
